World Tourism Day 2023

4-day festival in city from Sep 27

On the occasion of the World Tourism Day 2023 Bangladesh Tourism Festival is going to be celebrated for four days at Bangabandhu International Conference Center under the initiative of Bangladesh Tourism Board, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. 

The Bangladesh Tourism Board is going to organize the Bangladesh Festival with the slogan 'Environmentally Friendly Investment' in tourism from September 27 to 30. Preparations have already started on this occasion. Bangladesh Tourism 

Board is planning to do this initiative to celebrate World Tourism Day at the same time every year. 

Bangladesh Festival will present all the traditions of Bangladesh as well as all the opportunities to travel around the beautiful Bengal. The festival will be decorated with the unique beauty of Bengal in the story of the progress of prosperous Bangladesh. 

Airlines, hotels, resorts, amusement parks, tourist-vessels, travel agents and tour operators will participate in the festival. In addition, organizations providing tourism products and services of different districts will participate. There will be  various offers and arrangements 

of nationwide tourism in this festival. 

The festival will also help the visitors plan interesting tours. In this four-day long festival, cultural programs, food festivals, handicrafts, exhibitions of tourism resources, along with food from different countries and traditional food of Bangladesh are organized. 

National and international visitors can also learn about Bangladesh's natural beauty, archaeological sites, history, traditions, antiquities, tourism resources. One can get a chance to see the attractive tourist pictures of each district. 

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, seminars will be held on tea tourism, safety of tourists and tourist centers, accommodation, transportation, data innovation, investment potential in tourism, human resource development in tourism sector and participation of women in tourism industry etc. 

The four-day long cultural program will include Gambhira, Gazi Kalur Pat, PathaNatya, Baul Song, Puthi Path, Kawali etc. In the program, food festival, handicrafts, exhibition of tourist resources will also be seen along with weaving, jamdani and muslin cloth making. 

The Bangladesh Tourism Board welcomes everyone to enjoy the festival.
