4-day drama festival begins in Rajbari

A four-day theater festival has started in Rajbari on the four-year anniversary of 'Rajbari Theatre' under the theme 'Let drama be a tool for social change'.

The theater festival started on February 9 (Thursday) at the historic Azadi Maidan in Rajbari. Will continue until February 12. The four-day Natyatsav was inaugurated by Prabir Guha, India's President's Award-winning dramatist.

President of Bangladesh Village Theater Nasiruddin Yusuf Bachchu was present as the chief guest at the drama festival. 

The organizers have said that the theater festival will include well-known theater troupes of the country and a troupe from outside the country will participate in the festival. A procession was taken out in the city under the leadership of Rajbari Theater President Asadu­zzaman Chowdhury Babla and Rajbari Theater General Secretary Faizul Haque Kallol. 

The procession ends at the Azadi Maidan after the round of the city. Later the guests were hoisted national and theatrical organization flags.

  At that time, the theater's vice president Kazi Mizanur Rahman Palash, Saiful Islam Sohag, Rajbari Press Club vice president Kazi Abdul Quddus Babu and various theater workers were present.
