35 new Covid-19 patients detected

Thirty five people have been infected with corona virus in Jamalpur till Tuesday.  Of them, 26 have been identified in Jamalpur Sadar.  According to the statistics of the last one month, the residents of Jamalpur municipal area have been most infected. 

According to the data provided by the district health department on Tuesday morning, the newly infected 35 people were found after testing 151 samples. Except Jamalpur Sadar, one patient was identified in Islampur upazila and six in Sarishabari upazila.

According to the health department, the latest report identified 15 people out of 72 samples tested in the PCR lab of Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College, one out of six samples tested in the PCR lab of Mymensingh Medical College and 19 out of 61 samples tested in the rapid antigen test.   Corona has been identified in the bodies of a total of 2553 people in the district including the new victims.  Of these, 228 have recovered and 42 have died. 

According to sources, the newly infected patients are from Bagabaid, Yogir Ghopa, Sardarpara, Lambagach, Shahpur, Battala, Ramnagar, Pathalia, Palashtala, Bagerhata, Banakura, Kampur, Chalapara, Panchrasta, Jigatla, Miapati, Miapati and Miapati areas in Jamalpur Municipality.

Civil Surgeon Dr Pranayakanti Das confirmed the information and said that the residents of Jamalpur municipal area are being infected the most.  Corona infection cannot be reduced without restraint in daily activities, movements and lifestyle.  In this case, there is no alternative but to follow the hygiene rules, wear a mask and maintain social distance.
