35 more patients died by being attacked with Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country during the last 24 hours. With this number, the total death toll in Corona stands at 3,000 and the detection of 2,960 new cases of Coronavirus infection in the country during the same time totalling the number 229,185 so far, informed Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General( Admin.) of the Department of Health during the routine online briefing on Coronavirus situation in the country on Tuesday ( July-28).
Dr Nasima Sultana said samples of 13,070 were collected of which samples of 12,714 have been tested in 81 laboratories during the last 24 -hour. So far samples of 1,137,131 have been tested. She added, a total of 1,731 patients have been recovered from Covid-19 totalling 127,414 recoveries so far. The Coronavirus was first detected in the country on March 8 this year and the first death in the virus was reported on March 18.
