34,077 more get 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Rangpur

A total of 34,077 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday in Rangpur division where the vaccination campaign continues efficiently.

 “All of the 34,077 citizens of were inoculated with the first dose of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine in the division today,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam said on Sunday.

“With the inoculation of 34,077 citizens with the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the first dose recipient citizens rose to 16,64,222 in all eight districts of Rangpur division.  

    Among the first dose recipient 16,64,222 citizens, 5,96,943 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 9,88,834 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,30,910 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

 The district-wise break-up of 16,64,222 first dose recipient citizens stands at 4,30,786 in Rangpur, 1,28,871 in Panchagarh, 2,10,209 in Nilphamari, 1,24,876 Lalmonirhat, 1,83,305 in Kurigram, 1,54,027 in Thakurgaon, 2,13,093 in Dinajpur and 1,85,756 in Gaibandha.

 Meanwhile, the number of the second dose recipient citizens rose to 7,56,761 with the inoculation of more 21,698 citizens today in the division.

 Among the 7,56,461 second dose recipient citizens, 4,95,322 were inoculated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, 1,32,100 more citizens with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 11,402 with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

   “The district-wise break-up of 7,56,461 second dose recipient citizens stands at 1,51,863 in Rangpur, 51,726 in Panchagarh, 82,191 in Nilphamari, 41,160 in Lalmonirhat, 53,240 in Kurigram, 58,357 in Thakurgaon, 1,31,176 in Dinajpur and 69,020 in Gaibandha,” he said.
