32,000 students of Ishwardi to be vaccinated against Coronavirus

Vaccination against coronavirus is being started for students of 63 educational institutions in Ishwardi upazila Pabna from today (December 11). Among the educational institutions, there are 10 colleges, 45 high schools and 16 madrasas. 

A total of 32,000 students from these 63 educational institutions including colleges, high schools and madrasas will be vaccinated in this phase. Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex’s Health and Family Planning Officer Dr FA Asma Khan confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Post on Friday.

It is learned that the government has taken initiative to bring all the students between the ages of 12 to 18 years under the corona vaccine in order to make the educational institution fully operational. 

As part of this, 32,000 students of Ishwardi are being vaccinated from Saturday.

Ishwardi Upazila Secondary Education Officer Selim Akhter said the registration of corona vaccine for college, high school and madrasa students in Ishwardi was started a month ago as per the government's instructions. 

The government is starting to vaccinte the students with the aim of starting daily lessons in the educational institutions in the presence of 100% students at the beginning of next year.

He said the Upazila Health Complex has made all preparations to vaccinate the students.

Dr FA Asma Khan said that as per the instructions of the government, all preparations have been made to vaccinate the students of different educational institutions of Ishwardi Upazila between the ages of 12 and 18 years. Plans have been made to vaccinate one thousand students every day.
