300 illegal structures demolished in Ctg

A mobile court has evicted more than 300 illegal establishments in the Port North residential area of Chattogram city.  These evicted illegal establishments include various establishments including shops. 

The people involved in conducting the operation said that they had built these facilities on their own land in Chittagong port.

The operation was launched on Tuesday under the leadership of Gautam Barai, Executive Magistrate and Authorized Officer, Chittagong Port Authority. 

After evicting more than three hundred illegal establishments, 3 acres of land of the port was recovered. According to the executive magistrate, regular operations are being carried out against the removal of obstructions by ships in the port channel, stopping illegal entry into the KPI area, occupying the port's own land, setting up illegal establishments and shops.  Today 3 acres of land in the northern residential area have been recovered.

During the operation, Assistant Land Manager of the port Muhammad Shihab Uddin and other concerned officials were present. Two pay loaders including 20 workers were used in the operation conducted with the help of police and Ansar.
