30 shops gutted by fire in Mirsharai

30 shops were gutted by fire in Zorarganj of Mirsharai Upazila in Chattogram district.  Prasar Kanti Bara, President of Zorarganj Market Development Committee, has claimed that about 1 crore Tk have been spent by this. On Wednesday at around 12 o'clock in the night, a terrible fire broke out in the Idrich Bali Market in the project road area adjacent to JB School in Zorarganj of the upazila.

The fire started from an electrical short circuit and the flames spread around and 30 shops were reduced to ashes. On receiving information, 3 units of fire service brought the fire under control after about one and a half hours of efforts with the help of locals. Aggrieved furniture trader Jamshed Alam said, 30 shops, including my shop, were burnt to ashes due to an electrical short circuit in the welding machine of the workshop. This has cost me more than 10 lakhs.

Aggrieved sound system businessman Manju said, I bought a sound system with a loan. I lost everything due to the fire. 

Regarding this, Zorarganj Union Parishad Chairman Rezaul Karim Master said, after hearing the news of the fire, I reached quickly and worked with the fire service and police administration. 

About 30 shops including furniture, pharmacy, sound system, cooling corner, motorcycle servicing, Thai aluminum, mechanic, tailor shops were burnt to ashes. I will help the businessmen affected by the fire.

Mirsharai Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Officer Imam Hossain Patwari said, after getting the information about the fire, 3 units of the station brought the fire under control in half an hour. 30 shops were burnt due to this. It is believed that the fire may have started from an electrical short circuit.
