3 missing students rescued in Islampur

Three missing second class students have been found from the dormitory room of Darut Taqwa Mahila Qawmi Madrasa in Islampur upazila of Jamalpur district.  The rescued students are Meem Akter (9), Monira Khatun (11) and Surya Bhanu.

Jamalpur Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Islampur Circle) Sumon Mia said that the police conducted raids in various places to find the missing students. As part of this, the students were identified through CCTV footage of Kamalapur railway station in the capital.  They were later found at the house of a rickshaw puller named Raja Mia  of Manda area of Mugda Police Station on the basis of information received from local rickshaw pullers.  

Md.  Asaduzzaman, one of the guardians lodged a GD with Islampur police station regarding the issue. 

On the other hand, after 12 pm on Tuesday the father of the missing child Monira filed a case under the Human Trafficking Act against four teachers and five other unidentified persons. 

Police arrested four teachers of the madrassa on Wednesday (September 15) morning.  Police closed the madrassa after handing over all the students to their parents.
