The members of Rapid Action battalion (RAB)-11 in a drive arrested three drug peddlers with contraband phensedyl syrup from Sonargaon on Saturday. RAB recovered 242 bottles phensedyl syrup from the arrested durg peddlers’ possessions and seized their carrying transport, goods laden covered van.
Additional police super of RAB-11 Alepuddin in a brief delivered that a contingent set up a check post on Dhaka-Chattagram road at Sonargaon area on Friday and searched a Dhaka bound covered van, recovered drugs and arrested three peddlers.
The arrestee were identified as Jamal Hossain 28, hailed from Noapara village under Chouddhgram Police Station in Cumilla district, Mostofa 38, hailed from Dhania village of Bhola district and Mizanur Rahman 31, hailed from Moranda village under Taltoli Police Station of Borguna district. RAB claimed that the peddlers involved in drug trading for a long and they bring narcotics from Chattagram
and sell in Dhaka and in adjacent districts. A case was filed with Sonargaon police station in this connection.
