3 died in train-CNG-bus collision in Chattogram

At least three people were died and eight others injured when a Demu train-bus-CNG-powered auto-rickshaw collided on the railway line at Jhautla crossing of Khulshi police station in Chittagong city.  The accident took place at 10.30 am on Saturday.  The CNG-powered auto-rickshaw has twisted beyond recognition.

 The deceased were identified as Police Constable Md Monirul Islam, Dalia Construction Service Engineer Bahauddin Sohag, 28, and HSC candidate Satraj Uddin Shahin, 19, of Pahartali College.

The injured are: Jamir Uddin (40), Shahidul Islam (40), Joynal (26), Zobaida (20), Adnan (7), Mohammad (10).  The identities of the two were not found. Police are taking the bus involved in the accident

 Witnesses said that the bus and auto-rickshaw got on the railway line without obeying the traffic signal.  At that time, the train collided with whose vehicles.  There was also a human howler . Fire service and police conducted rescue operations at the spot.

Khulshi Police Station (OC Investigation) Sakibur Rahman said three people were died in the three-way clash.  Eight people were injured.
