3-day Film Festival begins at JnU

A three-day long film festival titled 'Amader Cinema' is going to begin at Jagannath University (JnU) on the initiative of Jagannath University Film Parliament on Saturday.  The festival of cinema exhibition will be held at the university's central auditorium to promote local films and  continue till Tuesday, January 11.

The festival will showcase seven films of the past year, with a special exhibition titled ‘Women in the Film’.  The films to be shown in the festival are Alpha, Hridoyer Rongdhonu, Fagun Hawai, Under Construction, Ahoto Fuler Golpo, Eti Tomari Dhaka, and No Dorai.   

There is also a seminar to be held, titled 'How to be done an Indie Film: Director's Statement'. Chairman of Film and Television Department and Advisor Professor Junaid Ahmed Halim are scheduled to chair the seminar. 

The Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University Dr.  Mizanur Rahman is scheduled to attend the festival as the chief guest.  The directors of the participating films are going to be present as special guests.
