Three motor-bike riders, including two brothers, were killed in a head on collision with a truck near Singuria bridge on Bhuiyapur-Tangail road in Ghatail of Tangail district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Samad, 24, son of Lal Mia of Kagmari Para village in Bhuapur upazila and his brother Sabuj, 18, and Abdur Rashid, 20, son of Yusuf Ali of the same area.
Mokhlesur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ghatail Police station informed, three motor-bike riders collided head on with a truck of the Fresh Company coming from the opposite direction.
Two motor bike riders were killed on the spot and another succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Tangail General Hospital.
Legal action was underway in this connection, he further informed. The OC said the bodies of the three youths were kept at hospital for autopsy. The bodies will be handed over to their families after postmortem, he added.
He, however, said that the youths should be more careful during driving of motorcycle as such incident is increasing day by day.
