3,350 Bangladeshis return thru Benapole

Seventeen of them corona positive

The arrival of Bangladeshi passengers from India through Benapole land port has not decreased. 3,350 Bangladeshi passengers returned from India from Through this land port. Seventeen were Corona positive. Every day a large number of passport passengers are returning from India with the NOC of the Deputy High Commissioner of Kolkatta 

They are being kept in institutional quarantine in different hotels in Benapole. According to Benapole immigration sources,From the beginning of the ban, 3,350 Bangladeshi passengers returned from India from April 26 to May 22 at 12 noon. Most of the passengers went to India for treatment.

Seventeen passengers of them have returned to the country after being infected with corona in India. Benapole Immigration Health Department Medical Officer Dr. Utpala Roy said,

Thirty Bangladeshis returned from India through Benapole land port till 12 noon on Saturday.  They have been kept in institutional quarantine for 14 days at Jhikargachha Gazi Dargah Madrasa and various residential hotels in Jashore.

After 14 days, if their samples are tested again and found negative, they will be allowed to return home.

And those who will be corona positive during this period will be kept in the dedicated corona unit of Jashore General Hospital for treatment.

Benapole Immigration OC Ahsan Habib said, Bangladeshis staying in India every day with NOC from Kolkata embassy are returning to the country.

Indians in Bangladesh are also returning to their country under the same rules.Passengers are scheduled to return from 8am to 3pm.
