279 fined in Cumilla for flouting lockdown

Separate mobile courts of Cumilla district administration today fined 279 people Taka 3,38,750 in different upazilas, including the district headquarters, for breaching Covid-19 safety rules and violating the rules of the ongoing countrywide strict lockdown to prevent corona virus infection, reports BSS.

According to the district administration sources, a total of 39 teams conducted the raids in seventeen upazilas, including the district town, and fined 279 people Taka 3,38,750 for not wearing masks, not maintaining social distance, violating the rules of the ongoing countrywide strict lockdown and moving outside without any reason.

Executive magistrate of the district administration Abu Sayeed and upazila executive magistrate, assistant commissioner (land) and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of the seventeen upazilas led the operation teams from this morning 7am to 2 pm.
