Twenty-four illegally constructed shops have been evicted from Dighirpar in Satkania Upazila under the control of Chattogram Zila Parishad.
Chattogram District Administration Executive Magistrate Nurjahan Akter Sathy conducted the operation in the municipality area of Satkania Upazila from Tuesday morning till noon.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fatema-Tuj-Johra, Zila Parishad Nirbahi Officer Md. Didarul Alam, Zila Parishad Surveyor and a team of District Police were present at the time.
Satkania Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fatema-Tuj-Johra said 24 illegally constructed shops have been evicted from Dighirpar in Satkania Upazila under the control of the district council.
About 6 percent of the occupied lands have been recovered during the eviction drive with an estimated value of Tk 25 lakh
