2300 families get aid ahead of Ramadan

The novel coronavirus is wreaking havoc across the country, upending lives and people’s livelihoods. With Ramzan on the horizon, Awami League MP has distributed relief and Iftar items to 2300 families in each union, including 200 families in the municipality at Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria,

The aids were distributed to those, who have lost their livelihood during the corona disaster. MP Ebadul Karim Bulbul funded the relief items on his own.

Relief materials were distributed to each union through party leaders and workers at the party office on Friday. Each family was given 10kg of rice, 1.5 litres of oil, 2kg of potatoes, 1kg of salt, 1.5kg of pulses, 2kg of gram and a packet of soap.

Sujit Kumar Dev, vice-president of Upazila Awami League, presided over the distribution ceremony.During the distribution ceremony, Upazila Parishad Chairman Mohammad Moniruzzaman Monir and Municipality Mayor Advocate Shiv Shankar Das handed over the relief items to 200 families of the municipality.

Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Zakir Hossain Sadeq, AL Joint General Secretary Zahir Uddin Chowdhury Shahan, AL Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary Md Nasir Uddin were present. Other local leaders including Khairul Amin, Juba League president SamsAlam, Parvez Ahmed, Shamim Reza, Abir Saeed were also present, among others.
