In the sixth phase, 22 more meter gauge railway coaches reached the country from Indonesia on Saturday. The coaches were unloaded at the Chittagong port and taken to the Pahartali workshop in Chattogram from there.
Earlier on January 12 this year, 22 coaches were transported to Bangladesh in the 5th phase. In total, 132 coaches out of 200 coaches have been transported into the country till now. Chief Mechanical Engineer of Eastern Railway Fakir Mohiuddin informed that the coaches were being inspected at the Pahartali workshop. These coaches will be added to different trains to make the entire railway operation more convenient.
