21,110 Palestinians killed in 11 weeks

International community must put an end to the war

We are gravely concerned about the continued bombardment of Middle Gaza by Israeli forces. Israeli forces pressed on with intensified attacks in the Gaza Strip’s biggest southern city and a central refugee camp, after the territory’s Hamas-run health ministry reported more than 21,000 people had been killed in 11 weeks of war, according to international news agencies.

The continued air strikes and the expansion of operations in the south came as the WHO warned on Wednesday that Gaza’s population was in "grave peril", with France's president calling for a long-term ceasefire. Israel’s relentless bombardment and ground invasion have killed at least 21,110 people, mostly women and children.

Calls for an end to the hostilities continued to mount on Wednesday, with French President Emmanuel Macron emphasising in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "the need to work towards a lasting ceasefire".

We express our deepest concern at the very heavy civilian toll. So, the international community should work together to carry out humanitarian operations in the territory “in the coming days”. The international community should take urgent steps to alleviate the grave peril facing the population of Gaza and jeopardising the ability of humanitarian workers to help people with terrible injuries, acute hunger, and at severe risk of disease.

An estimated

1.9 million Gazans

have been displaced

An estimated 1.9 million Gazans have been displaced. The attacks and counter attacks during the war are still damaging civilian buildings, including apartment blocks, hospitals, schools, places of worship, and shops, impeding access to food and medicines.

The game of arms and the arms competition must stop. We want say that the Israel has totally violated international law in Gaza.

We also are urging an immediate ceasefire as Israel pounds the Palestinian territory in response to Hamas attacks, with the crisis deeply dividing the Security Council.  Israel imposed a blockade of the impoverished territory, in place ever since, after Hamas took power, and it still occupies the West Bank.

\We are deeply concerned about the clear violations of international humanitarian law that the whole world is witnessing in Gaza. It should be clear that no party to an armed conflict is above international humanitarian law.

Apart from the global leaders, the Security Council of United Nations must take a clear stance to reassure two billion Arabs and Muslims that international law will be applied. According to the United Nations, the Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. So, those appalling attacks cannot justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people because of Hamas attack.
