Mymensingh Civil Surgeon Mohammad Nazrul Islam said that so far 20 illegal clinics and diagnostic centers have been sealed in Mymensingh following the directive of the Department of Health to close all illegal clinics and diagnostic centers in the country immediately. Among them 6 in Mymensingh city, 6 in Bhaluka, 3 in Dhobaura and 2 in Ishwarganj. He also said that this campaign will continue regularly.
Civil Surgeon Mohammad Nazrul Islam said Moon Diagnostic Center, Renesa Hospital, City Hospital, Shapla Clinic, Labib Hospital, Hikmat Cardiac Center, New Spondon Diagnostic Center, Uttara Model Diagnostic Center was raided and sealed off.
The remaining five clinics and diagnostic centers have been asked to evacuate the admitted patients within the next three days and the operating theater has been closed due to lack of proper documentation and lack of doctors.
Bhaluka Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mohammad Hasanul Hossain said that the sealed diagnostic centers in Bhaluka Upazila are Reza Diagnostic Center, Sumaiya Diagnostic Center, Al Noor Diagnostic Center, Nusrat Diagnostic Center, Masood Diagnostic Center, Aziz Khan Diagnostic Center, and Medilab Diagnostic Center. Besides, Bhaluka General Hospital and Seva Hospital were also warned. Mira Diagnostic Center, Konak Diagnostic Center, Sumon Diagnostic Center and
Khiru Diagnostic Center were temporarily closed.
Civil Surgeon Nazrul Islam said, "We have already compiled a list of unauthorized clinics and diagnostic centers in Mymensingh." We will conduct regular campaigns on the list.
