20 more Covid-19 cases reported in Lakshmipur

Twenty more people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Lakshmipur on Sunday. With the latest ones, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the district reached 595.

To curb the virus, five upazilas, four municipalities and eleven unions have been locked down in Lakshmipur and they are marked as red zones. Meanwhile, the list of victims and deaths of COVID-19 in Lakshmipur is getting longer almost every day. 

In the last 24 hours, another corona victim named Anwar Hossain was added to the death list in Lakshmipur Sadar.

So far, four persons died in Sadar, six in Ramganj, one in Ramgati, Raipur and Kamalnagar upazilas. The total number of deaths in the district reached 13 due to corona. In addition, 113 samples were tested  on the day. Among them, 20 people of Sadar upazila were tested positive.

As many as 295 people in Sadar, 99 in Ramganj, 88 in Kamalnagar, 64 in Raipur and 49 in Ramgati upazila have been infected with the virus. With this, the number of infected people in the district reached 595. Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdul Ghaffar confirmed the information.

On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, 1 person has recovered, 4 in Sadar and 4 in Kamalnagar. In the last 24 hours, 5 people have been admitted in isolation. 3 people have been given clearance. At present 9 people are admitted in isolation. So far, 126 people have been admitted in isolation. Of them, 117 people have been given clearance.

291 people have completed the quarantine in the last 24 hours. So far 12 thousand 946 people have been sent to quarantine. A total of 11 thousand, 126 people have completed the quarantine so far. At present there are one thousand 820 people in quarantine.

The lockdown is going on for the 7th day in four municipalities and 11 unions of five upazilas of the district. People and traffic are being controlled by tying bamboo on different roads. In the meanwhile, people have been seen moving without masks. Some people were also seen smoking cigarettes in open area.
