RAB men recovered 20,000 liters of stolen furnace oil during a raid at Shikalbaha area of Karnafuli in Chattogram on Wednesday night.
The stolen furnace oil was recovered from two oil tanker lorries. At that time, RAB arrested 3 youths involved in the incident.
The arrestees are identified as Jamal Hossain, 34, son of late Mozaffar Hossain of Charpatharghata area of Karnafuli, Saddam Hossain, 30, son of Habibur Rahman of Pahartali area of Nagar and Al Amin, 30, son of late Belayet Khan of Hiran village in Gopalganj.
RAB-7 Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahmudul Hasan Mamun said 20,000 liters of stolen furnace oil was recovered from two oil tanker lorries during the operation on the basis of secret information. At that time 3 people involved in the incident were arrested but one named Moin Uddin escaped. They have been handed over to Karnafuli police station.
