A mother and her two children were burnt in a mysterious fire at a building in East Munshia village of Kukutia union under Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj on Monday night.
One of the victims, a two-years-old boy named Ayat died on the spot while, the mother Khadija Akhter Mim (22) and the other child a four-years-old girl named Aisa Akhter have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a seriously injured condition.

The fire broke out on the third floor of the building of Bappi Mridha, son of Hossain Mridha of the village around 9pm on Monday.
Neighbors saw smoke coming from Bappi's living room on the third floor of the building. Later, the door of the building was broken and the victims were brought out.
Upon receiving the news, the fire service personnel rushed to the spot, rescued the injured and took the injured two to the Upazila Health Complex.
