2 youths ectrocuted

Two youths were electrocuted in separate incidents in Barisal on Thursday.  The deceased were identified as Tapu, 21, son of Alauddin of Makram Pratap area under Chandramohan union and Rafiqul Islam, 25, son of Newaj Ali of Paschim Charkalekha village under Muldi upazila. 

On Thursday, a young man named Tapu (21), a doctor in the emergency department of Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (Shebachim) Hospital, was pronounced dead.

Deceased Tapu’s uncle Shah Alam said, Tapu got electrocuted while giving power line to the chicken farm. He was rushed to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical condition and was declared dead by the on-duty doctor.

On the other hand, citing relatives of deceased Rafiqul, Officer-in-Charge of Muladi Police Station Fayez Uddin Ahmed said Rafiqul was electrocuted in his house while doing some work. 

After rescuing him in critical condition, he was taken to Muladi Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
