Two women received burn injuries from a gas cylinder explosion in the kitchen at Sanarpar area under Shiddhirganj police station on Friday .
The injured were identified as Ayreen,32, and Jannat,24, of Nurul Islam House inmates at Sanarpar area. Injured Ayreen’s husband Rubel said that his wife and co-residing woman Jannat were engaged in cooking then the cylinder exploded in the kitchen and caught fire.
The both injured were admitted at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institution.
On information, a unit of Fire service and civil defense from demra rushed to the spot and managed the blaze.
Narayanganj district deputy director of Fire service and civil defense Fakruddin confirmed the information.
