Newly appointed judges of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Obaidul Hasan paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday morning.
They paid their tribute by laying wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu’s grave. Members of the family of the judges were present as traveling companions at the time.
After paying homage and reciting Holy Fateha and Durood, they prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of Father of the Nation. They also prayed for the health and longevity of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as well as for the welfare of the country and the nation.
Gopalganj District and Sessions Judge Amit Kumar Dey, Judge of the Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal Md. Atowar Rahman, Wise Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan, Additional District and Sessions Judge Md. Osman Gani, Additional District Magistrate of Gopalganj Md. Osman Gani and other officials of the concerned department were present there.
After paying their respects, Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Obaidul Hasan wrote separate comments on the inspection book preserved at Bangabandhu Mausoleum.
