Shafiqul Islam Shimul, a local MP and general secretary of the district Awami League unit provided food aid to Imams and Muazzins of various mosques ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr in Natore on Saturday afternoon.
He provided the assistance from private funds at the Anima Chowdhury District Council Hall in the district town. Among others, Deputy Commissioner Md Shahriaz, Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha spoke on the occasion.
On the other hand, Shahidul Islam Bakul, Member of Parliament from Natore-1 constituency and Organizing Secretary of District Awami League distributed Eid gifts among 135 teachers of the mosque-based mass education program conducted by the Islamic Foundation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Perabariya School Ground in Bagatipara upazila.
Among others, Bagatipara Upazila Parishad Chairman Ahidul Islam Gakul, Bagatipara Upazila Chhatra League President Atiq Hasan Bidyut and leaders and activists of local Awami League, Juba League and Chhatra League were present there.
