Police on Thursday arrested two suspected drug peddlers along with heroin from Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district.
The arrested were identified as Rakib Pramanik, 30, a resident of Ujanchar union and Md Jane Alom Ripon, 33, of Daulatdia union in the upazila.
Confirming the matter, Goalanda Ghat Police Station officer-in-charge Md Rakibul Islam said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested them.
Police also recovered 60 puria of heroin and cash money from their possessions.
Later, they were produced before a court in the district after lodging a case against them with the police station, the OC added.
