Two persons were detained with 391 bottles of contraband phensidyl and seized a Cavard Van at Charkhambar more area in Jashore town on Tuesday.
Jashore sadar police camp In-Charge Inspector SM Firoz confirmed the matter.
The arrestees were identified as Cavard Van driver Sohagh Hossain, 46, resident of Sariatpur district and helper Shawon, 22, resident of Benapole in Jashore.
Police sources said, on secret information, police chased a Cavard Van at Charkhambar mor area yesterday morning and recovered 391 bottles of phensidyl from the Cavard Van and detained the driver and helper in connection with the contraband phensidyl.
A case was filed with Jashore Kotwali Model thana in this connection.
