Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) Station Teknaf searching a suspicious CNG at Penna Para in Sabrang area under Teknaf Police Station found 14,000 pieces of Yaba tablets on Monday.
During the operation, two yaba traders named Mohammad Sona Mia, 35, son of Ali Akbar and Mohammad Amin, 21, son of Habibur Rahman were arrested.
At that time, cash Tk 23,125 and a CNG auto-rickshaw used for transporting yaba were also seized. The seized yaba, CNG auto-rickshaw and the arrested yaba traders have been handed over to Teknaf police station for further legal action.
Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue to conduct regular operations in the areas covered by the Coast Guard to ensure law and order, public safety as well as prevention of piracy, robbery and drug trade.
