Police arrested two drug peddlers from Kala-Lakkhipur area under Jhenidah Sadar upazila and seized huge quantity of hemp (ganja) and phensedyl syrup on Monday night. The arrestees are Mamun, 40, son of Abdul Jalil and Shahin, 35, son of Mijanur Rahman of Baldia village of Damurhuda in Chuadanga.
26 kilograms of hemp and 60 bottles of phensedyl syrup were among the seizure list. Additional superintendent of police in Jhenidah Sadar circle Abul Bashar confirmed the matter.
