Two persons including a housewife and an SSC passed student commit suicide in separate incidents under Shah Makhdum and Rajpara police stations of the city on Saturday morning.
Those who commit suicide were identified as Marufa Akhter(19) wife of Zahid Hasan of Uttar Naodapara area and Sajid Ahmed (19) son of Nurul Islan of Bahrampur area under Rajpara thana. Marufa committed suicide by hanging with a rope wit the ceiling while Sajid died by throwing himself from the roof for a multistoried building.
Shahadat Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Rajpara thana informed, on Friday noon Sajid's father rebuked him for hearing the song at his room. Being angry, Sajid threw himself from the roof of the multistories building and killed himself early on Saturday morning.
Police recovered his dead body and sent it to the morgue of RMCH for autopsy. The dead body was later handed over to the family members. An unnatural death case has been filed with the thana in this connection.
Saiful Islam Khan, Officer-in-charge of Shah Makhdum thana informed, as a sequel of family feud, housewife Marufa Begum committed suicide by hanging early on Saturday morning. Her dead body has been handed over to the family members after autopsy.
