Two motorcyclists were killed as a covered van hit their vehicle at Mitragaon area under Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Badrul Alam, 27, and Alal Mia, 25. Both of them hailed from Madapur village under Kalaruka union at the upazila.
Locals said that the covered van hit the motorcycle on which Badrul Alam and Alal were returning home from Chhatak Bazar on Chhatak-Gobindaganj road. The duo died on the spot. Mostofa Kamal, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chhatak Police Station, confirmed the matter. He said that they recovered the bodies and sent to hospital for autopsy.
