Gas cylinder explosion injured two people were died in the National Institution Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the small hours of Monday.
The deceased were identified as Joj Mia, 55, son of Mujibur Rahman and Alam, 45, son of Sukkur Mia, both residents of Aliganj. A gas cylinder of a vehicle was exploded during the replacement at Aliganj under Fatulla police station and caught fire that injured 11 persons including women.
The police unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital inspector Bacchu Mia confirmed the information, adding that the 11 are now undergoing treatment.

Burn and Plastic surgery unit said that two other injured patients Asma and Hafsa are in critical condition.
On Sunday noon in a gas cylinder explosion at Aliganj injured Joj Mia, 55, his wife Shefali, 45, Baten, 50, his wife Amena Begum, 42, son Toha, 14, a truck driver named Alam, 45, Hasina Begum, 40, Hafsa, 6, Afsana, 2, Tahmina, 15, and Sathi, 34.
All the burn injured were rescued by Fatulla police and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
