Free paddy seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among 2,800 small and marginal farmers in Mirzaganj of Patuakhali under the incentive program to increase aus paddy production.
The fertilizer and seed distribution program was inaugurated at the Upazila Parishad ground on Wednesday morning.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mosa: Tania Ferdous presided over the inaugural function while Upazila Chairman Khan Md. Abu Bakar Siddiqui was the chief guest and Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Arafat Hossain gave the welcome speech.
According to the Agriculture Officer, these fertilizers and seeds were distributed in the current Aus season in 21/22 financial year in Kharif-1 / 2022-23 season under Pronodama program. Each of the 2,006 small and marginal farmers of the upazila will be given 5 kg paddy seeds, 20 kg DOP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer.
