The district recorded 19 more cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising the total infection count to 5,307.
During the time, 408 samples were tested in the district, showing the infection rate 4.65 percent,
civil surgeon office sources confirmed.
Among the newly detected patients, 17 are from Sadar upazila and two others from Shibganj upazila.
Of the total detected patients of the district, 2,999 are from
Sadar, 881 from Shibganj, 691
from Gomostapur, 381 from Nachole and 355 from Bholahat upazilas.
A total of 498 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 67 are getting treatment in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.
Meanwhile, 145 patients have died of COVID-19 and 4,664 have recovered from the disease here so far, the sources added.
