19 houses locked down in Ctg, 2 more corona patients identified in Ctg

So far 19 houses have been locked down in four police stations in the port city after identifying a deadly corona virus patient.  No one can get out of the house now nor can anyone can get in. Officials with the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) confirmed the information.

But residents of the city are in favor of locking down the entire city not just some houses. They say that just by locking down the house, Corona risk cannot be avoided. In this case the entire area should be locked down. The people do not want to be in terror. So they urged CMP to look into the matter.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) Md. Abdul Warish said the entire area would be locked down if needed. However, till now 19 houses in 5 areas under four police stations have been locked down. Residents of these buildings will not be able to leave until further instructions. During this time, the CMP will provide all their support.

According to CMP sources, due to corona virus six houses were locked in the Dampara lane under Khulshi police station in the city. Shapla area and six houses under Pahartali police station the were also locked down.

Residents of these houses will not be able to leave until further instructions as informed on last Friday. In addition, an official of a garment factory in the city has been locked down also in the city on Wednesday.

Consequently, 7 corona virus positive patients have been identified in BITID by examining 514 samples in Chattogram. Of these, 6 are from different parts of the city and one is from Sitakunda area.
