With 10 more deaths in Rajshahi, the total death toll at the Corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital stands at 18 during the last 24-hour period ending 6am on Friday.
Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani, Director of RMCH informed of the dead, 10 were from Rajshahi, two each from Chapainawabganj, Natore and Naogaon and one each from Kushtia and Sirajganj. Of the dead 13 are males and five females. Last Thursday also 18 patients died at the Corona unit of RMCH.
Director of RMCH further said a total of 74 new patients have been admitted to the Corona unit of the hospital during the last 24-hour period while 52 patients were recovered and left the hospital during the same time.
On Friday morning a total of 501 patients were under treatment at the Corona unit including 20 at the ICUs as against 454 beds.
Director Yazdani further informed that the rate of infection in Coronavirus has further decreased in Rajshahi.
On Thursday the samples of 479 people were tested in two laboratories of RMCH and Coronavirus was detected among 88 samples. The rate of detection of the virus was 18.16
