18 injured in Tabligh Jamaat factional clash

At least 18 people of two factional groups of Tabligh Jamaat were injured in a clash on Tuesday night at Bishwa Road Area under Rupganj police station in Narayanganj. 

Police and locals claimed that a group Tabligh Jamat men of Moulana Saad started their discussion on religious invitation work and after some time a group of  supporters of Moulana Jubayeer intruded into the mosque and resisted the invitation discussion and then both group engaged in altercation that later turned into brick throwing battle at about 8:00 pm.

It can be mentioned that Tabligh Jamaat men  immediately divided into two groups headed by Moulana Saad and Moulana Jubayeer and depending on  this different  ideologies many times they had  clashes in  Narayanganj town. Both the groups locked into clash and attacked each other pelting brick chips that left injured 18 people of both groups. On information, police rushed to the spot and  brought  the situation under control within an hour.

The injured are Mohiuddin, Omar faruk, Shahin Mia, Mosharaf Hossain, Nure Alam, Tarek Mia, Al-Amin, Abdul Awal, Abu Yusuf, Azimuddin, Solaiman, Ibrahim and others who admitted local hospitals. Officer-in-Charge of Rupganj police station Mahmudul Hasan said that none filed any complaint yet and I called them at my office and  gave  advice to negotiate the matter within short time.
