17th death anniv of BCL leader Mahmudur Rahman Palash observed

The 17th death anniversary of former organizing secretary of BCLS’ Patuakhali district unit Shaheed Mahmudur Rahman Palash was  observed in different areas of Patuakhali in  befitted manner.

Leaders of Patuakhai district Awami League, its associate bodies along with the family members of the popular leader, placed floral wreath at the graveyard of Palash paying homage.

His father vice-president  of the  district Awami League Freedom Fighter  Advocate Md. Sultan Ahmed Mridha, mother who is  a former parliamentarian, Lutfan Nesha, younger brother who is Assistant Director (Finance and Accounts) of Barisal University Md. Atiqur Rahman Masum, wife lecturer Rokshana Palash, son Fahim Arman, daughter Fariha Rahman and other members of the family were also  present .

It is mentionable that Palas’s father was also former Sadar upazila chairperson and former municipality chairperson of Patuakhali. 

Hazi Hamez Uddin Mridha Degree College’s Principal Md. Shah Alam Mridha, Vice Principal Md. Selim Mridha, exhibitor Md. Moazzem Hossain, Janata College’s Professor Md. Nasir Mridha, Awami League leader Md. Jalal Mridha, Patuakhali Press Club’s General Secretary Md. Jalal, Md. Asim Mridha, former BCL leader Md. Jewel Mridha and Md. Shahidul Islam, among others were also present at the occasion. Later Hafez Maolana Abu Bakkar conducted a special prayer seeking the forgiveness from the Almighty Allah for the departed soul of Polash. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the program was carried out in a brief manner following health rules. 

Special prayers were also held at the Khanka of the Jainkathi Jainpuri Hojur. 

After Asr prayers, prayers were also held in various mosques including Puran Bazar Jame Mosque.
