In Chattogram district 159 persons were tested positive out of 389 samples. Of the corona positive persons, 151 belong to Chattogram metropolitan area and 8 to different upazilas. Now the total number of infected people in Chattogram is 2,588.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi confirmed the information on Friday night.
According to the Civil Surgeon, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Lab identified 61 persons with corona out of 141 sample tests, of them 22 persons belong to Chittagong city and 39 belong to other upazilas.
Chittagong Medical College conducted test on 231 persons, of them 97 people were found positive, of which 93 persons are of Ctg city and 4 persons are of different upazilas.
Cox's Bazar Medical College Lab carried out test on 17 samples and found 1 person as corona positive.
Chittagong WASA managing director AKM Fazlullah was identified as a corona positive patient in the sample test. Another CWASA employee was reportedly infected with corona.
