Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited's Gazipur office conducting a mobile court drive, fined 15 persons Tk. 3.10 lakh at Itahata Moddho para area of Gazipur city for taking illegal gas connection in their houses on Thursday.
At the same time, about 1600 illegal gas connections were disconnected, during the mobile court drive led by Umme Habiba Farjana, Executive Magistrate of Gazipur District Administration.
Engineer Suruj Alam, Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited's Gazipur regional office, said the operation was carried out in those areas as part of a regular operation against illegal gas connections.
Deputy Manager Engineer Mirza Shahnewaz Latif, Sub- Assistant Engineer Sabinur Rahman, Sales Assistant Anwar Hossain and others were present during the operation.
