15 DU students get scholarship

Fifteen meritorious students of the Department of International Business of Dhaka University (DU) have got scholarships for their outstanding academic performances, reports BSS.

DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman handed over scholarships among the students at a function held at Business Studies Faculty conference room on Tuesday. The recipients of scholarships are Asia Khatun Jhumur, Sumaiya Akhter, Md Ramzan, Naim Uddin, Meheraz Al Hasan, Md Rakibul Islam, Ratna Akter Bristy, Sabuj Miah, Md Shipon Hossen, Samira Akter, Md. Yeasin, Milon Murmu, Sopna Akter, Faiza Benta Shahid and Kumari Rotna Rani. Congratulating the awardees, VC Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to utilize their merits and skills properly for the wellbeing of the society as well the nation. “They must perform good deeds for betterment of the society,” he added. He also called upon the students to equip themselves with moral and humanitarian values to make Bangladesh a prosperous country.

Chairman of the Department of International Business Mohammad Rakib Uddin Bhuiyan presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Prof Dr Khondoker Bazlul Hoque and Prof Dr Chowdhury Saima Ferdous addressed the event.
