14 more infected with Covid-19 in Lakshmipur

To curb the spread of prevailing coronavirus cases In Lakshmipur, four municipalities of five upazilas and 11 unions have been identified as red zones. However, on the eight day of lockdown on Tuesday, people are still not abiding by the lockdown measures.

The list of victims and deaths of COVID-19 is getting longer almost every day. In the last 24 hours, one 

person died of COVID-19 and another died of COVID-19 symptoms. A total of 14 people died in the district. In addition, 14 new coronavirus cases have been detected in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of people infected with corona in the district reached 609. The district health department confirmed the information.

Meanwhile, a high-ranking assistant and acting store keeper of Bangladesh Power Development Board, Executive Engineer District Office, died at Laxmipur District Sadar Hospital on Monday night with jaundice, cough and shortness of breath.

His samples have been collected for corona testing. The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain Swapan, 55, son of Ali Azam of Banchanagar in Ward 7 of Lakshmipur Municipality.
