Scheduled to take place on February 24th from 9am to 3pm at the International Hope School premises in Uttara, the capital, the Olympiad promises to be a vibrant display of linguistic prowess and cultural exchange.
With the participation of one and a half thousand students from numerous schools across the country, the event serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents and deepen their appreciation for the Bengali language.
Principal Roksana Zarin, along with Bangla Olympiad coordinator Kamrul Ahsan and esteemed faculty members, unveiled details of the event during a press conference. The day-long program will feature a diverse range of competitions tailored to various age groups, including essay writing, recitation, dance, song, drawing, quizzes, and presentations.
This year's Olympiad boasts the guidance and expertise of eminent educators, writers, and artists, who will serve as advisers and judges, ensuring the integrity and excellence of the competition.
Notable figures such as Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellors Professor Soumitra Shekhar and Poet Muhammad Samad, and Director Generals Hakim Arif and Anjeer Liton, among others, lend their support and leadership to this esteemed event.
Online registration for the Bengali Olympiad remains open until February 14, providing schools with the opportunity to register students across multiple categories, including essay, recitation, music, painting, impromptu speech, dance, and Bengali quiz. The inclusion of the International Mother Language Institute underscores the Olympiad's commitment to promoting linguistic diversity and cultural exchange.
