ACC’s public hearing in Dinajpur

130 complaints against 127 public, private Institutions

A public hearing organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was held at the Dinajpur Shishu Academy Auditorium on Monday, under the slogan "Youth Unity Against Corruption Will Build the Integrity of Tomorrow."

The event, organized by the Dinajpur district ACC office with support from the district administration and the District Corruption Prevention Committee, directly heard and initiated resolution processes for complaints raised against various government and private institutions.

Commissioner (Investigation) of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi, attended as the chief guest. In his speech, he reminded government employees of their accountability to the public.

"Should allegations of bribery, corruption, and illegal wealth acquisition in public and private institutions be proven, strict action will be taken," Commissioner Azizi stated. "Public servants must remember that their salaries come from taxpayers' money. Therefore, serving the people is their primary duty."

He further urged everyone not to resort to corruption due to political influence or any other pressure.

The public hearing received a total of 130 complaints against 127 public and private institutions. In the second session, hearings for over one hundred of these complaints were conducted.

The meeting was chaired by District Commissioner and Magistrate Md. Rafiqul Islam. Special guests included ACC Director General (Prevention) Md. Akhtar Hossain, Director of the Rangpur Divisional Office Mohammad Nurul Huda, and District Police Superintendent Md. Marufat Hossain.

Also present were Additional District Commissioner (General) Md. Riaz Uddin, Assistant Director of the District ACC Md. Ismail Hossain, officials from various district administration departments, and heads of educational institutions.
