Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka zila police have detained 13 men for their alleged involvement in robbery by conducting an operation at Hemayetpur area in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on early Thursday.
The detainees are Abul Hossain, 30, Mohi Uddin, 45, Razu Mia, 35, Suruz Mia, 35, Jalal Madbar, 50, Abul Hossain Fakir, 40, Rasel Shikder, 28, Amzad Hossain, 45, Pagol Chandra Manidash, 55, Ayub Ali, 44, Sadek Mia, 41, Monir Hossain, 45, Abul Hossain Fakir, 40.
Mohammad Abul Basar, Officer-in-charge of Detective Branch (DB North) of Dhaka zila police said, some robbers were taking preparations for the robbery, on such information; we conducted a drive at Harulia area of Hemayetpur in Savar on early Thursday and detained them.
After searching, we found two domestic sharp weapons. Also we seized a Covered Van (Faridpur-11.0210), which was used for robbery from the spot. A case was filed with Savar Model police station in this regards also the detainees were produced before a Dhaka court on Thursday morning.
