Jagannath University (JnU) has completed the admission of the second merit list of the Bachelor (Honours) class for the academic year 2022-23. There are 126 seats vacant in the university after the admission of the second merit list.
The technical committee member of the GST admission test and the director of the ICT cell of Jagannath University, Professor Dr. Uzzal Kumar Acharjee stated this on Wednesday.
"The admission process was concluded based on the second merit list after the examination. Jagannath University has so far admitted 2639 students without quota and 2806 students with quota", he said.
According to university sources, Jagannath University has a total of 2,765 seats in the academic year 2022-23. So, there are still 126 seats vacant in the university.
The admission of the first merit list for the academic year 2022-23 in the 22 universities under the GST exam started on July 22 and continued till July 26. The students who are initially admitted by depositing money online in each unit at the appointed time, completed their admission process by submitting the relevant documents after showing the receipt at the Dean's office of the concerned faculty. This year, the GST examination committee has planned to complete the admission process in the 22 universities in three phases.
According to the plan of the admission process, admission will be taken in the second phase from July 28 to 30 and in the third phase from August 3 to 5. It has been reported that the first-year classes will start in mid-August.
After the admission of the first merit list, the university had 903 vacant seats.
