A total of 12 officers and members of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) were honoured for their good performance in discharging duties in the metropolis in a monthly crime review meeting at the RMP headquarters here Saturday with Police Commissioner Biplob Bijoy Talukder in the chair.
In the meeting, various issues related to the law and order situation, combating juvenile crimes, expediting the community and beat policing activities, executing of arrest warrant and progress of the investigation to the important cases were discussed elaborately. Speaking on the occasion, Biplob Bijoy Talukder urged his subordinates to discharge their respective duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to attain the trust and confidence of the peace- loving people of the metropolis in general.
He said the honour will encourage and inspire other RMP members to do better performance. Additional Commissioners Rashidul Hassan and Hemayetul Islam also addressed the meeting, among others.
Besides, it was also dicussed that ballot papers will be sent to the polling stations located in remote areas the day before the polling.
