Police arrested 12 gamblers including a union President of AL from a club in Pabna on Wednesday night. Police also recovered cash money and materials for gambling from the spot during the arrest.
Moniruzzaman, Officer-in-charge of Atailkula Police station informed, acting on a tip-off, a police team of Ataikula police station stormed the clubhouse at Islampur village under Luxmipur union of Ataikula under Pabna district on Wednesday night.
Police arrested 12 gamblers including Rezaul Islam, President of Luxmipur union unit President of Awami League, while they were engaged in gambling and recovered cash money and materials for gambling from the spot. The arrested gamblers have been sent to the jail through court on Thursday.
